But succeeding on Steam is a whole different challenge, almost like an entirely new game mode. Because on Steam, it’s not enough to publish your build and call it a day. Don’t Be Surprised: Our Share Is 0% for the First $50,000 Gross Revenue. It’s All Yours.​

Yes, you read that right, no typo. Let’s say it again: Until your game reaches its first $50,000 in gross revenue, Joygame Select’s revenue share is 0%. That first $50K gross is 100% yours. After that threshold, the revenue share defined in the agreement starts. And you’ll see how fair it is in our very first call. And “gross revenue” is clearly defined: it’s the amount after refunds/chargebacks, but before Steam’s commission and mandatory deductions are applied. If you don’t earn, we don’t earn.

Marketing Budget: Not Taken from You. Period.

This alliance exists for a reason. One of the biggest fears for young founders and developers is this: publishers say “we did marketing,” and then later deduct it from the developer’s share.

That’s not how Joygame Select works.

In our standard model, marketing spend is not deducted from the developer’s revenue share. The budget and plan are set together, and execution and reporting are fully transparent. Since 2009, we’ve published hundreds of games across local and global markets, across multiple platforms, and we’ve actively worked on the marketing of hundreds of games and products. Now we’re ready to bring that experience to you.

So What Exactly Do We Do?

  • We don’t leave wishlists to luck: planning + visibility + perfect timing.

What Kind of Games Are a Better Fit?

We’re not restrictive by genre, but our focus is very clear: PC games. Projects with a strong concept, clear marketability, and high replay value naturally come first. Games that are basically mobile titles forced onto PC, or copycat projects with no real USP, are usually not our priority, and won’t be. We’ll be selective. You’d want that from a publisher, too.
