Hold Your King’s First Major Update Is Now Live
The kingdom’s chaos grows with LAN Multiplayer, Split Screen Mode, and the Global Score Table.
The physics-based co-op platformer Hold Your King has launched the first major update in its content roadmap spanning July, August, and September. To celebrate the update, Hold Your King is also available with a 30% discount.
Released on July 30, the update introduces LAN Multiplayer, Split Screen Mode, and the Global Score Table. These new features allow players to enjoy new ways of playing side by side with friends while comparing their scores with players from around the world.
More Chaos on the Same Network: LAN Multiplayer
Thanks to the new LAN Multiplayer feature, players can join their friends over the same local network using different devices to play Hold Your King together.
Friends in the same location can create a shared game session from their own devices and work together to carry the King safely to the end of each level. And when everything inevitably falls apart, finding out who caused the chaos has never been easier.
Side-by-Side Cooperation: Split Screen Mode
The newly added Split Screen Mode allows players to enjoy Hold Your King together on the same device and screen.
By connecting multiple controllers, players can control their own characters simultaneously while working together to guide the King through challenging obstacle courses.
This new mode makes Hold Your King’s teamwork-focused gameplay even more accessible for local multiplayer sessions, gatherings with friends, and shared streaming experiences.
Keeping the King from falling is still no easy task—but now it’s much easier to see who threw everything into chaos at the last second.
Competition Goes Global
With the new Global Score Table, players can compare their scores with Hold Your King players from all around the world.
Players can replay levels to improve their times, climb the global leaderboard, and compete for the top rankings.
The global leaderboard also opens up new opportunities for community challenges, record attempts, and creator competitions.
And if reaching the top doesn’t happen on your first try, don’t worry—the King is used to falling.
The First Step in a Bigger Update Roadmap
The update released on July 30 marks the first major milestone in Hold Your King’s content roadmap for July, August, and September.
Additional updates are planned in the coming months, bringing new ways to play, gameplay improvements, and more chaotic surprises to make carrying the King even more unpredictable.
